Doberman Assistance Network: video of 2012 dogs

I can't toot the Doberman Assistance Network's horn enough. They deserve it. They work tirelessly for this breed.

Below is their video from Youtube, reviewing the rescue dogs of 2012. Tearjerker alert: it is to the song "I will remember you".

Of course, they're also well on their way to helping lots of Dobermans in 2013.

Ava, who is currently in foster, had a litter of puppies.

All is well, thankfully. So much can happen or go wrong in the whelping of a litter. Poor Ava is camera shy, from what I gather on the DAN Facebook page, but the puppies don't know to be!

Looks like a good, "traditional", red and black litter, right! There are a couple of breeders who are members of Doberman Talk who have been posting litter photos. Seeing piles of puppies like this just makes me want to gather them up in my arms and put my face in them! I have to do it to Elka instead, who doesn't mind.

God willing, these little guys will have the right life, the lives that all dogs deserve. They will never lack for food, or shelter, or water. They will have people who love them and who teach them well and train them right. If you can, please visit the Doberman Assistance Network website and Sponsorship page, and make a donation for Ava and her family. Also, here's a link to the DAN general funds Amazon.com wishlist.

    1. Hah, yeah, I think that puppies (kind of like babies) are so cute that we forget all the trouble that they are!
