Holiday Tips for Traveling With Your Dog

Let's face it, if you  know me, you know I'm not super organized. Not a "planner", per se. I pull it together most of the time, but I lack foresight. So sometimes, getting Elka into the car and going to New Jersey for Christmas isn't always as hitch-free as I'd like.

Do you do audiobooks?

Not really dog related (I mean, we could play six degrees here, but I don't tend to play the Kevin Bacon one. I relate everything back to Fight Club instead), but I was sent this awesome infographic about free audiobooks that you can download online. Audiobooks aren't really my thing, personally, but we do a brisk "business" of them at the library, and so I was happy to pass this one along. Reading is reading, right? A lot of people listen to them on commutes, or while working out, or while doing housework.

It's a fairly simple process on that site: You download the Ambling book player, and then you download your free audiobooks (Sorry it's so small, but when I leave it "original size" it's just far too HUGE for the site's format).

My First Giveaway! The Puppy Diaries, by Jill Abramson, book on CD

I'm having my first giveaway. Are you excited? I am!

See, I've been reviewing books and things because well, I read books and use things. I figured putting the information out there would be useful and entertaining to people. Well, I reviewed the book copy of The Puppy Diaries by Jill Abramson the other day, and then got a very nice email from Esther at Macmillan audio, asking if I wanted to do a giveaway of the audio version!  I said, essentially, "Yes, of course!"

So, how do you enter?  Comment below about one of my blog posts that you've read.

This is my first giveaway, so I'm keeping it simple. Depending on the number of entries, I'll write 'em on pieces of paper and Elka will pick. If it's more than I want to write (or more than I think will feasibly make sense for that kind of stunt), then I'll use Random.org to keep it fair. The contest will run from today (Saturday, October 29) 'til 11:59 on Tuesday evening (October 31).
