      Yes, it is a fake balloon animal! We've had a few of them, with varying levels of sturdiness.

    Happy New Year! I ran into a beautiful pair of Dobermans at the pet store with their human yesterday and thought of Elka. Somehow I hadn't really put together just *how big* they are compared to 30 pound Silas.
