Happy 5th Birthday, Elka! And many more!

Our Elka V is now 5! I don't know how that happened. It seems like it can't be all that long ago she was an itty bitty puppy, peeing on the floor and chewing on the kitchen wall and falling asleep on our laps in a warm bundle of puppy brownies. Well okay, I guess she still does the lap bit.

At the park, her puddle has not yet refilled itself. We've been getting A LOT of rain lately, though, so I figure it will pretty soon.

So far, she's had one brand spankin' new never before used toy before, of the Nerf variety (review will follow, but, SPOILER, it didn't last so well). I didn't know Nerf made dog toys, but I wonder what dogs, exactly, the toy was intended for. But I wonder that a lot, I guess!

The picture I put up on Wednesday is one I'm particularly happy with. I don't always get the picture I set out to take, but this time, I nailed it.

I'm sure Miss Elka will end up with some (deliberately) edible treat as well, but inspiration has not found me yet. We share a lot of treats with her anyway! I'm just happy to celebrate the years spent with my lovely, loving girl!
