18 Days left to help the Doberman Assistance Network!

The Doberman Assistance Network's Flower Power Fundraiser has only 18 days left. At the time of this posting, the total money raised was $117, out of a $1000 goal. That's $117 more than they had in the first place, but woefully short of what they hoped for. Dogs like Demi (warning, picture heartbreaking) have found nowhere else but with DAN, and without this kind of funding, these dogs are just alone. I know it's more fun to post pictures of Elka eating pizza and stories about her stealing socks, but this is the flip side to all the dogs who are brought into the world; some Dobermans never have these things. They don't have couches, and pizza, and socks, and people who love them. The Doberman Assistance Network, and others, are trying to fill that gap.

This year, they have flowering gift wrap, which has the seeds embedded right in the paper!

There are strawberries, if you're less than interested in flowers, or more interested in edible gardening.

There are bleeding hearts, which I've always thought are pretty. Kind of a fitting statement for people interested in dog rescue, I guess?

And, the last item I'll highlight, sunflowers. But, seed mats of sunflowers, so you can cut the mat to the size you need for an area. Pretty cool, and a good project to do with kids, if you're into that sort of thing.

50% of the price from every purchase goes to the Doberman Assistance Network, and thus to dogs in need. Even if you're not into flowers (or strawberries or wrapping paper), maybe you know somebody who is! Please share!

    1. They are beautiful! My property is pretty much in the shade, however. I do hope that more donations come in, with springtime trying its darndest to manifest!

  2. For some reason, none of the pictures show up for me, but I'm sure they're gorgeous! Good luck on the fundraising, because I know it's tough!

    1. It is tough! Slowly, the total has creeped up. I'm not sure about the pictures...they load for me, but I know on some sites, I have to reload a few times for pictures to happen.
