A Dog Named Boo: Winners!

The moment you've all been waiting for: the winners to the A Dog Named Boo giveaway!

As has been long-standing Elka Almanac tradition, I wrote the names of the entrants on pieces of paper and threw them on the floor. Then I looked at Elka and said "Pick it up!"

She looked down (notice Gumby? He has to help, evidently)

There was a lot of consideration here. But she picked one! I told her how awesome she was, and looked down again and said "Pick it up!"

Unlike the last time, Elka had no problem with me asking her for the same cue twice, and our winners were selected.

Drumroll.....

Just Toby, and Bassetmomma! Congratulations!

If that was ME choosin' the winners like that, I would have chewed up every scrape of paper and made spit balls with em'! Good work Elka!

    1. I vouch for the greatness of the prize...I did enjoy the book!

Elka sometimes likes tearing up paper, so we try to limit what's just laying around for her to have access to if bored.

  12. Just saw your post on Pet Blogs United. We see Dobermans at dog shows, and have always thought they were beautiful dogs. At the shows their coats just shine! And they make wonderful junior handling dogs, the kids seem to do really well with them!

    Nice to meet you! :)

  14. Thank you so much for picking me Elka. Think of all the trouble I can get into now while The One Named Donna is distracted reading about Boo. :-)
