My First Giveaway! The Puppy Diaries, by Jill Abramson, book on CD

I'm having my first giveaway. Are you excited? I am!

See, I've been reviewing books and things because well, I read books and use things. I figured putting the information out there would be useful and entertaining to people. Well, I reviewed the book copy of The Puppy Diaries by Jill Abramson the other day, and then got a very nice email from Esther at Macmillan audio, asking if I wanted to do a giveaway of the audio version!  I said, essentially, "Yes, of course!"

So, how do you enter?  Comment below about one of my blog posts that you've read.

This is my first giveaway, so I'm keeping it simple. Depending on the number of entries, I'll write 'em on pieces of paper and Elka will pick. If it's more than I want to write (or more than I think will feasibly make sense for that kind of stunt), then I'll use Random.org to keep it fair. The contest will run from today (Saturday, October 29) 'til 11:59 on Tuesday evening (October 31).

  1. Awesome giveaway! I normally listen to books on CD while driving, especially long distances to flyball tournaments, but there is a sad lack of dog-related books on CD that aren't by Cesar Milan (who I don't really care to listen to for hours on end).

I really liked your post early this month about taking responsibility. I see so many people walking around with their dogs, either off leash, on a retractable leash, or even on a standard 6 foot leash, paying no attention to their dogs. The dog can stick its nose right in my dog's face, jump on me, poop somewhere, and more, without the person even noticing. Not to even bring into the equation the people with kids they pay no attention to who run up out of nowhere and grab ahold of my dog, whose parents get mad if I tell the kid to let go and go away (nicely, of course, but still).

  2. Hi Jen! Just settling in to read some blogs now that the snow is falling (and the outdoor furniture is put away... yikes!)

Congratulations on your first give-away. I think that means you have "officially" arrived. ;)

  5. Hello, Jen! I'm new to your blog but am so glad I found it. I just bookmarked your page about Picking a Breeder. We're seriously contemplating getting a pup and your wealth of information will be very beneficial. Thank you!

And thanks for this giveaway, too. :)

  6. All right no more entries!

Thanks everybody for entering. Elka will pick the winner (I will take pictures) and then I'll have the winner email me their address, so I can email Macmillan to send them their prize!
