Elka and her puddle (our first YouTube video!)

I got a super-short video of Elka playing in her puddle at the park. You can also view it on our YouTube channel (which only has the one video so far): Elka and her puddle

Really, I thought that she would be more into it. Normally, she's a bit more prancey and splashy. Maybe she got camera shy?

    1. Well, we do still walk home from the park, so the mud dries up and wears off. It's a win win!

  4. You need me there to play in the puddle too, it looks fun, big and muddy. My favourite kind *WOOF*
I put my first video on youtube this week too! My human wouldn't let me show off, she made me show my dinner routine instead! BORING! Puddles are much more fun! *wag wag wag*

    1. Dinner routines are important, and really, they end in dinner! Puddles are totally fun, though.

    1. Puddles are the best! I'm glad that Elka decided it in her own time and on her own terms. It's been fun watching her develop her puddle love!

    1. Maybe, but water like that has been hard to come by lately! The creek, at best, isn't much deeper.

  7. That looks like great puddle fun. (they never perform the same when the camera is on)

  8. If the puddle was just a little deeper you could have done a swan dive! BOL!!

    1. Sometimes she seems like she's going to lay down in it! I wonder if she does that to tease me?

    1. Sometimes I can practically see her sigh when I get the camera out. Like "oh, that thing again"

  13. Cute! If it was hot Kirby would have just lay down in the puddle!

Here's a tip on your videos that I just discovered. It would take hours for me to upload one to Kirby's YouTube channel. I just discovered that by using Apple Quicktime it uploads in just under an hour. You may already know this but I was like WOW!

    1. Oh neat, I'll look into that. Mine only took half an hour, I think? I'm also always doing other things, so I attribute any slowness to my multitasking! ;)

  14. Ha ha ha! Well, you know, it's a guarantee that if you get out a camera of any kind to catch your dog doing something specific and cute that they won't do it when you want them to! She's so cute having her little moment!

    1. Exactly true! Many a cuteness has been ruined by my trying to reach for the camera.

  16. Elka is a beauty! Isn't that the way, though, with the camera? My duck sees the camera and turns away. Silly thing.

    1. Aw thanks! Yeah, Elka is not in love with the camera, though when I'm lucky, the camera loves her!

    1. Very true, that puddle doesn't have much water in it! We haven't had much rain since then, either.
