Monday Mischief, February 20 2012

As you can see, Elka was not impressed by my waking her up so that I could take this picture.

I'll direct you to the change in her tags, though. That red thing, next to the "dog tag" shaped dog tag? We thought adding a bottle opener would be a useful thing. Many bottles nowadays are twist offs, but it stinks to get settled down and then realize that you in fact need a tool. What better way to remedy that than to have a roving, callable one?

And dont' worry. Princess fell back to sleep without any trouble.

    1. It was my fiance's idea, perhaps because we happened to have that red one. I could see the logic of it, though!

  4. That look in her eye says it all. Does carrying an opener make her a working dog now?

    1. You know it does! Soon she'll be earning those "Booze Hound" titles.

      Hmm, that doesn't sound good....

  5. Oh, yeah, she is not a happy camper! At an adoption event yesterday, after spying the fur on my skirt (never changed after church), a visitor suggested I hang a lint roller on heavy string around my neck. At least your opener is small....

    1. Maybe if you got sheets of the lint roller stuff and put it on your car seat, so that when you sat down it would get the entire surface in one go? ;)

  6. I'd say that's the 'ol evil eye staring at you! I saw a really small compact swiss army knife that would give you even more ability to do stuff on the fly, so to speak.

    1. Ooh, a swiss army knife isn't a bad idea (I do have a TINY one from EMS). However, you'd have to take it off the collar in order to use it. The bottle opener (in theory) can remain in place.

  7. Ha ha ha! Elka NEEDS one of these collars! http://www.cycledog.com/ It's made with a bottle opener as part of the collar. I could NOT make this stuff up!

    1. Oh how funny!

what's funnier is I'd seen an entirely different collar + built in bottle opener combo a few months back.
